Six months on from osConcert version 10.2 I have added more features and cleaned up the template system, out goes the old templates and I have integrated my own template options from my other web building application the CyberGord Web Engine.

But first I will give my heartfelt thanks to German user Michael Schatz for developing a great new Scanning App that is absolutely free to use for osConcert users. A modern, mobile-first web application for scanning concert tickets using your device's camera. This app replaces the proprietary "pic2Shop PRO" application with an open-source solution built on HTML5, JavaScript, and the ZXing library.

In November I added the Open-Sales Scheduler and the Password Reset Log and in February I added some smart features: Calendar, Directions, and Better Ad Tracking. Read about them in my other blog posts.

Now the Web Engine is a another open source PHP project I have been working on for three years. A lightweight PHP web engine for developers and builders. Create fast, database-driven websites with full control — no CMS, no subscriptions, no limitations. It's an amazing application that can help you build a database website in no time at all. And so...I took the css style-sheet and some features from the Web Engine and integrated them into the osConcert Template system. Now there are a lot more options to present a really nice looking Bootstrap styled seat booking software. It's got a choice of Hero's, Theme Colors and Font Styles to choose from and there is also a handy Dark/Light switch, great if you want to present a different mood for your upcoming shows.

Choosing a front page hero is easier now and we can use the Media Uploader to set a Background Image and have it blend with the Theme "Accent" color, and also for the footer space too. If you look at some of my DEMO's you will see some examples of this kind of display.

Now there is also a third project I have been working on and that is the concept of Video Chains. Both the Web Engine and osConcert have the ability to show Video Chains. So osConcert version 10.3 is here and I can honestly say it's really looking good and working great for my users.

The beauty of my system is that you can create the coordinates of you seat plan at my SeatPlanMaker page and export as a CSV. Then all you do is import to your osConcert Seat Plan Generator page and refine the result to have an instant seat plan page that you can clone very easily.
