General Admission Event with optional menu items

How can we set this up, so that customers can select food (or similar) items with their General Ticket?

Sometimes there is the need to create an event with an optional menu.

For instance you want to offer a meal choice for your customers that purchase a ticket.

You the Administrator will create the tickets in the General Admission Event and you will also create the meals as products and assign them to this event. The menu items will now be displayed with each ticket type, therefore making it much easier to promote for your event. The tickets and food are together! no confusion.

The feature was introduce for food items but it can also be used for other items that can be combined with a ticket, a program of events is one such example.

1. Create your General Tickets as usual. e.g. Adult, Seniors, and Under 18 and assigned as product type='G' (General Admission)

2. Create menu products the same way but assign them as product type='A' (Assign as Menu Product)

That's it. At the front end you will see buttons lined up horizontally right under each ticket.

YOU CANNOT SELECT A MENU PRODUCT WITHOUT THE EVENT TICKET.

All your selections will go into the shopping basket with at least one event ticket and the checkout process can be continued.

Unless specifically disabled each menu product will be an eTicket.

In conclusion, we can sell tickets and menu items for our events and customers will bring their eTickets to the door of the event. Your order will have a record of the purchaser and the report will list the tickets sold and the menu items sold.
